Delivery Terms

No matter which shipping method you opt for, delivery timescales are from date of shipment from us and not date of order placement.

Please Note:
Although we try and despatch goods within 1-2 working day(s), it may not be possible to do so in all occasions. For this reason, when opting for Next Day Delivery, please note that we might need 2 working days from your order date to despatch goods. In order to avoid disappointment, please contact our Sales Line number or e-mail us and we will be able to guide you on your expected delivery date. Couriers and Royal Mail do not classify Saturday or Bank Holidays as working days. Deliveries will normally take place between Monday to Friday. So parcels despatched on Friday are expected to arrive on Monday (provided it is not a Bank Holiday, whereby they would arrive the following working day).

We may in certain circumstances (see below) use DPD/Parceforce Couriers to deliver packages i.e. where weight is an issue. If you only want Royal Mail to deliver your packages please e-mail us (despatch@schooluniform247.co.uk) with your order number stating this. Where the customer has opted for Courier delivery, we may need to confirm with customers before despatch, as it is a signed for delivery.

We offer 2 main delivery options:

I) ROYAL MAIL (1st, 2nd and TRACKED SERVICE)
The most cost effective delivery method is Royal Mail. Please note that a signature is not required to confirm receipt. However, most parcels will be tracked through the Royal Mail system. Royal Mail state that they "aim to deliver 1st Class & Tracked parcels on a 1-2 day basis", and 2nd Class on a 2-4 day basis but do not guarantee delivery timescales. If you select this delivery method and you miss your required date, we will not be held responsible.

Standard Delivery charges are from £2.50 per order, depending on weight of the package (see below).
Delivery times not guaranteed with no claim for loss until after 14 working days from posting.
Delivery days Monday to Saturday.
Typically allow 1 to 5 working days for delivery.
Will need to collect from Post Office if no-one in at delivery time.
Item will be returned to us if not collected from Post Office within 5 working days.
Full On-line tracking service available from Royal Mail website for TRACKED PARCELS.

Standard Delivery Price: (i) £2.50 - upto 250g (ii) £2.99 upto 500g, (ii) £3.49 upto 750g, (iii) £3.99 upto 1000g, (iv). £4.49 upto 1250g, (v) £4.99 upto 1500g, (vi) from 1500g we may use Interlink Express.

II) ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY
Royal Mail Special Delivery gives the comfort and security that your order, once dispatched will be received the next working day (Monday to Friday) before 13.00 hours.

• £6.99 per order (upto weight of 100 grams).
• £7.99 per order (between a weight of 100 grams to 500 grams).
• £8.99 per order (between a weight of 500 grams to 1KG).
• £9.99 per order (between a weight of 1KG to 2KG).
Money Back Guarantee for late delivery.
Maximum 2KG in weight (>2KG we will use Interlink Express).
Next working day delivery guarantee (before 13.00), from despatch date.
Saturday deliveries to Residential Addresses are possible, but not guarenteed under normal Special Delivery terms.
Will need to collect from Post Office if no-one in at delivery time.
Item will be returned to us if not collected from Post Office within 7 days.
On-line tracking available from Royal Mail website.
Maximum £500.00 Insurance for loss or damage.
100% UK coverage (some remote areas - 2 days guarantee).

The following conditions apply to the above options:

A. Delivery Service Upgrades
Should the weight of any UK Tracked or UK Special Delivery consignment be in excess of 1KG in weight, we reserve the right to use a National Courier. The delivery charge will not be any greater than that explained (see I and II) above. The only exception is where the weight of the package exceeds 5KG, whereby we will contact you to inform you of the rate.

B. Loss, Delay & Damaged Goods
SchoolUniform247.co.uk are responsible for shipping and making any claim for loss, damage or delay on your behalf. All claims will be limited to the maximum compensation allowed by the shipping method you choose. All parcels are checked prior to despatch to ensure correct and timely delivery.
If your parcel is undelivered within the period stated in our delivery information above, you should first contact your local sorting office to see if they are holding it.
If your parcel has still not arrived or been returned to us within 14 working days of dispatch (28 working days for international orders), we can either redespatch the item(s) or issue a refund to the full value of your order. We must receive notification from you in writing within 14 days of your order date that your parcel has not arrived. Claims made after this time cannot be upheld.

C. Required Date
We invite you to place a "Required By" date at checkout and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate this requirement. However, we advise that we will not be bound by this date. Should an order be shipped and arrive after your Required By date with no previous notification of Cancellation, our Returns Policy will apply.

D. Re-Delivery Costs
Schoolunform247.co.uk will charge customers for re-sending parcels sent back to us due to failed deliveries (where attempt(s) have been made to deliver). This will normally reflect the cost of sending the parcel (minimum £2.50).

All delivery charges above relate to UK Mainland (or GB&NI (including BFPO's) where Royal Mail is used). DPD/Parcelforce Couriers normally have a surcharge for deliveries to Scottish Highlands, Scottish Isles, N.Ireland, Channel Islands and all routes over sea within UK, which will be bourne by the customer if this delivery method is selected. Please e-mail us for all other destination rates.

DELIVERY OUTSIDE UK
Where delivery is made outside UK, any delay caused by Customs will invalidate delivery timescales by carriers. We will not be held responsible for such delays. Any custom payments due, if any, will be bourne by the customer.
